We read to know we are not alone. - C.S. Lewis
You see my stack of five books over on the right column? I wrote about it in My Five - Is There a Trick to Reading? and the basic guidelines I'm following are:
...you choose five books and stack them in a pile. Read the top book for as long as you'd like in one session. At the end of the session, the book goes to the bottom of the pile and you repeat it each time you come back to read.
Two important rules: (1) only read what's in the stack, new books must wait, and (2) after you put a book down, it has to go to the bottom of the pile. Supposedly, varying the subject matter and book size helps to keep the interest going.
